Geof Benson, Licensed Massage Therapist
Geof is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of Healing Spirits Massage Training Program in Boulder, CO. Geof has certificates in Anatomy Trains in Structure and Function and Advanced Myofacial Techniques. Geof’s inspiration to study and practice massage therapy came from his wife, who was injured in a car accident when she was young and suffered a spinal cord injury. Geof saw what a difference regular bodywork made for Raquel and how some techniques delivered better results for her than others. Geof became very interested in learning all about these different types of bodywork so he can help others be their best.
Geof specializes in myofascial release, Structural Integration, integrative deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage. He applies the technique he feels is going to support your body by optimizing range of motion, increasing blood flow, decreasing pain and ultimately aiding the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Whether you are recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic pain or needing to decrease tension and stress, Geof can work with what you need. Geof continues to attend workshops regularly and loves that bodywork is a life long study of this unique vessel we have all been given.
Geof and his wife moved to Colorado in 2014 and have a 3 year old daughter. They reside in Longmont and love the area. Geof thoroughly enjoys being a dad, loves to cook, and taking his daughter on walks in nature.
LaRissa Felt, Licensed Massage Therapist
LaRissa grew up in North Dakota and attended college in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota.
During that time she spent a semester in Australia, studying design and the beach culture. After graduation, she moved to Virginia. Not finding my passions in the East Coast either, in 2010, she moved across the country once more to attend the internationally recognized Boulder College of Massage Therapy, from which she received over 780 hours of training and graduated with honors. In the process, she says she found home.
LaRissa says, "Colorado provides the perfect backdrop for all the things I love: sunshine, backpacking, playing outside, photography, adventures, playing the ukulele and delicious vegetarian food. In addition to massage, I get to fulfill my passions for natural health and helping people by working as a Chiropractic Assistant at New Leaf Chiropractic.
Currently I am loving my life in Longmont with my husband, our two cats, Freyja and Jay, and our Tortoise, Aesop."
